Senior Group Sales Manager / Director

If you have a passion for business and want to be part of a fast growing group of companies, then you are in the right place. You will have proven track record in sales, preferably within the financial services industry. You will have a good university degree (at least 2i) with a commercial, marketing, sales focus. You will have full understanding of the sales lifecycle, the strategies for selling and marketing, systems and processes to taken on this challenging role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Setup the up the sales process and systems using industry recognised tools, including CRM
  • Train, mentor and manage a team of relationship/account managers
  • Draft creative solutions oriented proposals, internal documents and formal RFP documents working with the technical team as well as the marketing department
  • Support the development of flexible and standardised pricing models across services lines
  • Database maintenance and management of the sales pipeline
  • Monthly communication and presentation of results against targets
  • Understand and report on industry specific landscapes and trends
  • Build on own and group’s excellent network to drive the revenue growth
  • Work with the outsourced Marketing function to develop hot and cold sales leads

Requirements

  • Strong sales background in the financial services industry, minimum of six years selling experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Is an excellent networker
  • Strong, pro-active interaction and relationship with the business and wider group. Understands and develops relationships with key decision makers within the group businesses.
  • Drives superior sales and market share growth through an intense focus on priorities as well as through the strategic use of competitive knowledge, superior selling skills, strong business and commercial acumen
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships but to pass on and share the relationship in order not to and become a “bottleneck” in the client relationship
  • Good team work and team management experience
  • Deep understanding of selling professional services and/or BPO solutions
  • Highly self-motivated, individually driven, self-discipline, organized, and focused in conducting sales tasks
  • International/global perspective - work successfully together with different cultures
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to articulate distinct aspects of services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

Trainee Accountant

We are looking to recruit a graduate Trainee Accountant into our experienced and entrepreneurial team. We are offering a supported training package. This full-time role in both audit and general practice offers successful candidates exposure to a wide range of clients.

The role will include assistance in the preparation of statutory and management accounts and the associated tax compliance work as well as assisting on audit assignments for an array of clients.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Produce and analyse financial reports
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships
  • Prepare tax computations and returns
  • Utilise accounting software
  • Communicate with the team on any issues or findings
  • Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience
  • Proficient IT skills including the use of the Microsoft office suite
  • Have an awareness of the various services provided by Macalvins
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with both clients and the wider Macalvins team

Education

The candidate will be required to study for their professional qualifications and a study package is provided. Part-qualified (ACA or ACCA) candidates will be considered. 

Experience

  • 6 month + working in an accountancy environment is desirable

Senior / Semi-Senior Accountant

An ambitious, dynamic individual with proven tax advisory skills who is looking for a challenging yet rewarding role.

Experience required

The perfect candidate will be ACA or ACCA part qualified accountant

Key responsibilities

  • Liaise with new clients to get their new client packs sent out to them and returned signed
  • Work with the Accounts Managers to create Prospect Packs to take to new business meetings
  • Deliver to the client service level agreements and gain a high client satisfaction score
  • Work with clients to gain a high client satisfaction score
  • Adhere to the firm’s client charter and client care policy
  • Update account managers promptly on progress of work undertaken for their clients
  • Liaise with clients to get their records and data in promptly when required. Flag any significant delays in client’s data
  • Using checklists, check all the records and data have been supplied when booking in records and alert Account Manager when everything is ready for Year End Accounts to be produced
  • File clients annual returns (Tax and companies house) promptly & update the firm’s systems to record when the return was filed
  • Inform Account Manager when their clients annual returns were filed

Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager

An ambitious, dynamic individual with proven tax advisory skills who is looking for a challenging yet rewarding role.

Experience required

You may be ACA or ACCA qualified, recently qualified or anything from 3-4 years post qualified experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with clients to gain a high client satisfaction score and generate more work from existing clients
  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for own clients
  • Be responsible for their clients: basic tax planning, bookkeeping queries, quarterly review of outsourced provider’s work, VAT return review, review of year-end accounts, corporation and personal tax returns, management accounts
  • Meet with clients at their 9-10 months into their financial year to provide basic tax planning and identify opportunities to generate more business from the client
  • Fully brief and project manage the client administrator and outsourced provider to: deliver a high technical standard with no mistakes, get all the client data in a timely fashion, achieve a 2-week job turnaround time
  • Adhere to the firm’s client charter and client care policy
  • Minimise client churn by being genuinely proactive and manage client expectations
  • Ensure new client packs are completed and returned promptly, including direct debit mandate

Audit Senior

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver the client service level agreements
  • Support the Audit Manager to be the day-to-day 1st point of contact for their client’s audit needs:
    • Audit prep meeting
    • Audit planning
    • Producing the audit report
    • Getting the information from clients to get the audit report signed off
  • Work with clients to gain a high client satisfaction score
  • Deliver a high technical standard so there are no mistakes or client complaints about quality of work
  • Adhere to the firm’s client charter and client care policy
  • Minimise client churn by delivering excellent client service
  • Develop and manage audits to ensure filed on time.

Audit Manager

Key responsibilities

    • Properly plan audit work, tailoring work to risk areas and setting delivery time and budgets
    • Audit reports been signed and accounts filed.
    • Achieve and set work job turnaround time.
    • Complete audits on schedule and in line with time budgets
