Tariq Charles Anthony Husain, FCCA

Tariq is a Business Management graduate and a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in international tax, financial advisory and outsourcing.

He has worked extensively with both small and large international businesses and financial institutions across a wide variety of regulated sectors establishing and maintaining complex business and product structures.

As a CEO of Macalvins he will be responsible for supporting the business with its dynamic growth and expansion plans.


Shailesh Patel, FCA

Shailesh was one of the founding partners of Macilvin Moore, now Macalvins, and has been dynamically helping his clients succeed.

In addition to particular skill with tax planning and business development, Shailesh has significant experience in dealing with international trade. His approach is always solution oriented and his passion for results is unrivalled, his mission is to promote the fact that people are at the heart of the business.

“Many people think that accountants 'won't get it', but we do. Yes, we are trained accountants but we are business people too with experience and passion to help clients define and realise their ambitions."


Pankaj Rajani, FCA, CF.

Pankaj qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1987 and since then has been relentless in his ambition to create an accountancy firm that offers stand out success for its clients.

As a founding partner of Macilvin Moore in 1990, Pankaj has been instrumental in the organic growth of the firm and the recent merger that saw the creation of today's Macalvins.

Corporate Finance transactions, international trade, JV's and investor relations are areas where Pankaj excels. With many clients operating on an international level, there is rarely a week that Pankaj is not on an aeroplane.

David Segall, FCCA.

David has worked in general practice for over 30 years, qualifying in 1977 and being raised to Fellowship in 1982. He has extensive experience in advising individuals and SMEs on all aspects of audit and accounts including IT solutions and implementation.

Widely experienced in tax compliance including investigation and enquiry work, his persistence recently successfully concluded a 6-year enquiry on behalf of a client and obtained one of the largest ever compensation awards paid by the Inland Revenue resulting in them having to rewrite part of their procedures manual.

Harish Gaglani, ACCA.

Harish has worked in commerce and general practice for over 30 years. He has extensive experience in advising individuals, partnerships and SMEs on accounting, audit, taxation and in providing a boardroom view on strategic and/or management aspects of the business.

Harish has advised clients from a wide range of businesses including the organising of start up finance. He has particular skill in the Jewellery, pharmaceutical and charity arena where he helps many owner managers navigate their way to their desired destination.

Jon Speyer, FCCA.

Jon joined his father's accountancy practice as a fresh faced 19 year old. He inherited the practice and over the last 30 years was responsible for trebling its size, which many would say is down to his expertise and magnetic personality.

Following such substantial growth, Jon was keen to merge with a like-minded firm and in 2013 he joined Macalvins.

Having always worked within a small practice, Jon has first-hand experience helping clients navigate their way through the tax system. There is rarely a time when you see Jon on his own. He works best face to face and his door is always open.

Colin Ford, B COM & FCA.

Colin became qualified in 2004 at Macilvin’s Moore, now Macalvins, and has worked with us for just over 19 years. Before Colin’s time here, he grew and worked in Scotland.

Over the years Colin has gained extensive experience in Audit, with particular skill in financial services and solicitors sectors.

“I really enjoy taking the pain out of compliance. It makes life easier for my clients and that’s what I’m here to do.”


Ashok Shah, FCCA.

Ashok began training with a small firm in 1972. Since then, he has worked at multiple locations becoming experienced in a variety of areas. At his previous firm, he became a partner within 3 years and was a partner for just over 25 years.

Ashok joined Macalvins in 2015 and is responsible for moving the company to the cloud. He has over 20 years experience in IT solutions and implementations, and has helped clients move to the cloud.

Fiona Mcelhill

Fiona is a longest standing employee of the company with huge experience in Company Secretarial and looking after small businesses.

She prides herself on dealing with clients issues on a timely manner and being organised.


Vasanti Maru

Vasanti joined Macilvin Moore Reveres, now Macalvins, in 2002. Since then, she has worked on a variety of projects and has gained extensive experience within financial operations and HR.

Vasanti is everyone’s “go-to-lady” – she is extremely passionate in catering to every clients needs by creating a bespoke service to each. Her aim is to always come up with a solution that suits all.

“I take it upon myself to treat every client in a way that I would like to be treated by my accountant.”


Roger Woolf, FCA. Consultant

Roger has worked in practice since qualifying in 1970 and has had substantial experience since then in dealing with the affairs of a variety of small family businesses, sole traders and partnerships.

His main area of expertise is in the Restaurant and Catering Industry where his "hands on" approach involves providing a full service to clients to encompass all aspects of accounting, personal and corporate tax and general businesses issues and planning.

"A good relationship is about being approachable and available at all times. We understand the nature of business and that decisions need to be made on a daily basis. My promise is that I am always available to clients, appointment or not."
