Payroll Senior Manager
If you have a passion for business and want to be part of a fast-growing company, then you are in the right place. You will be fully experienced in all aspects of payroll and familiarity of pension schemes, in particular full understanding of auto-enrolment. You will already be leading a team, engaging with clients and directors to provide a timely and accurate payroll service to clients. You will have the drive and ambition to manage and grow the payroll offering, implementing the right processes and systems to deliver a best-in-class service.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The chosen candidate will have the following attributes:
- Proven experience of managing UK payroll (weekly, monthly, annual payrolls), including starters and leavers, SSP, SMP, SPP
- Proven experience of working with certified payroll systems utilising processes for a seamless delivery e.g., BrightPay, Pay Circle, Employment Hero – Key Pay
- Leadership skills to develop, inspire and manage a team (on-shore and off-shore) to deliver a quality service to clients at all times
- Experience to put in place controls, reviews and processes during on-boarding of new clients through to delivering a recurring service to agreed client SLAs
- Experience to manage and review third party arrangements for pension schemes and auto-enrolment in line with client requirements
- Maintain high technical standards and keeping up to date on technical developments by way of technical updates and other training courses, for self and team
- Ability to create strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Ability to identify business development opportunities by way of cross-selling and upselling
- Experience of communicating and dealing with HMRC, pension providers and other statutory bodies to manage all client requirements
- Experience of managing and delivering migration and transformation projects for clients
- Ensures clients are billed promptly and accurately
- Manage and grow the Group’s payroll P&L
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well organised and excellent planning skills
